I like that this postpartum belt set cinches your waist and hips, but you can control how much. It is much more flexible and comfortable than other corsets and shape wear that I own. I can wear it in the summer without getting overheated. Would purchase again, and will definitely use if I have another child. This waist trimmer is awesome. It is visible under clothes so I generally wear it once I get home. It helps to hold me in while I'm cooking dinner or lounging around the house. Very good quality product, but the price is relatively high. You can get basically the same thing from other manufacturers for half the price. The problem I really found with it is sizing. I started out as a size 6-8 prior to pregnancy, and gained 30-40 lb, taking me up to about a size 14. This belt does NOT come in various sizes, and at my postpartum size, it barely fit (the velcro straps were connecting, but just barely). I believe it would have done the job of shrinking my postpartum belly if worn consistently, and it may be fine for ladies of a smaller size. For me, it didn't fit right and kept shifting around. Not what I had in mind! In the future I'd purchase one that does not come in three pieces. It feels incredibly bulky and it is too obvious to wear underneath your clothes. This belt drastically improved the recovery process for C-section. Sneezing or coughing after a Cesarean can be excruciatingly painful but this helps provide the gentle pressure your belly needs when doing daily activities, ie. using the bathroom, sitting down and standing up, coughing/sneezing, keeping a good posture while resting and feeding. |
