I was extremely skeptical when purchasing this product, but it is pretty amazing. I am 10 weeks postpartum and was overweight prior to my pregnancy. At this point, I am only reviewing this product from a shape-wear perspective as I have not had it long enough to experience any long term effects. The item is fairly comfortable considering it is the Velcroed equivalent of a corset. Although the instructions advise not to wear it on bare skin, I have done so without an issue. You can see it a little if you are wearing something very tight, but hey - it's better than clearly visible fat rolls. This product definitely improves posture as it is very structured. It has actually minimized my back pain. But the true miracle is the slimming effect. Please see pictures below... Perfect to wear after birth. My skin gets irritated easily when I wear any kind of belly wraps or waist trainers so I normally put it over a thin tank top so it doesn't irritate my skin. Love the fact this is a 3 piece set & it fully covers the stomach & hips. It does rise up a bit when you sit down, but that's to be expected. I do agree with others that this is bulky & not super thin so you can see it under your clothes, but I don't mind at all since I've just given birth. I'm not as big of a fan as I thought/hoped I would be. This band needs a silicone backing to go against the skin to avoid the frequent ride-ups experienced. It rides up when your walking, sitting, standing. It doesn't tuck well into pants. I purchase for post-labor recovery and would return it if I could, but I've already used it and it does have a small stain. I'm a pretty small frame so I expected this to fit better than it does given it doesn't have a lot of areas to keep in. Overall wouldn't recommend.
