If you follow the sizing guide it fits correctly. I already need to go down a size though so this may not be the best purchase if you want to wear it several months and don't want to buy multiple sizes. Also the item does not come with any directions so you are on your own figuring out how to put it on. You can see it under tight clothing but works well to make your tummy look flat. I have a long torso and would like the item to be longer and cover more of my torso. I started wearing this the day after I gave birth untill he was about 3 months . I do think it helped a lot with helping me "bounce back" as they say . It didnt feel too cheap and actually held up well through washes . I love how al the straps made it super adjustable just in case you needed a little extra something . My only complaint was that after sitting a lot it would start to roll but I feel that may have been more of a personal problem . Wow! Talk about bang for you buck! This product is totally worth it! I got a very cheap waist wrapper at the hospital postpartum and wanted something better quality so decided to look on here. Soooooooo glad I found this and WOW! Talk about the price! There are three layers to this but it really does it's purpose. You just have to follow the instructions. I plan on breast feeding for at least 6 months so can't wear this right now, but I did tried wearing it for the fist week that I got it and I loved it. I wore this after a c-section for the first few outings. I started wearing it 3 days after surgery. Compared to my other c-sections, I could really tell a difference while wearing this. It provided amazing support. It didn't hurt as much going over bumps in the road, railroad tracks, etc. It also helped me get up and down easier and helped me not feel like my insides were falling out. I did not wear this to "loose my tummy", I simply wanted the extra support. It is 3 pieces and takes a little bit to get on. It fastens with velcro so it would fit many different shapes and sizes.
