I would also say make sure you follow the sizing chart as closely as possible and if you do have big thighs/hips/belly don't try and go a size smaller I would definitely recommend following the chart because I did that the first time I purchased this product and had to return it. This belt is AMAZING! I've always known that I had abdominal muscle separation after my pregnancies, but I figured there was nothing I could really do about it. I've recently learned, however, that it's never too late to close the gap, so I've set about to attempt to do so. One thing that I've read that was recommended was to "splint" the muscles to help train everything back to where it's supposed to be. The first time I wore this belt set, the support was just amazing. It forces you into proper posture, particularly when sitting, but it's so gentle at the same time. I am wearing the belly belt alone to do my belly exercises, and then add the other two belts just to go about my business. I've noticed some relief of some mild but persistent back pain simply from the support into proper posture. Moreover, after just a couple of days of doing this, I find I'm naturally holding my muscles closer to where they need to be without really thinking about it, which makes my belly look flatter already. This was a great piece. I bought a dress that was just a little too tight, and thus showed all of the dents and bumps and such in my stomach. It worked wonderfully! Smoothed out my stomach without being painful, it did not fall down or roll up at all throughout the event (a ball). Now that the swelling has gone down a bit, the smaller one fits and it has very good compression in the thigh area, which I like. But I AM a pear shape, so my legs a big and still swollen so the hemline is too tight and gives my fluffy leg a dent and you can see it under my pants. The corset area has very good grip. it has very good compression but I had a little problem with it. The underwear part was too tight in my waist. Before the surgery I didn't notice that, but now, I am trying to avoid dents and folds on my skin, so this was an issue... So what I did is cut a small slit on each side of the upper seam of the underwear (making it fit looser)...and now it works great. I feel like the top part of the corset (above the underwear) fits a little loose (pear shape), but what I am able to do is secure the top part on the second row of hooks and it makes it tighter. |
