To those who have posted about this running too small, I do not think you understand body shapers and u almost kept me from purchasing this!! Anyway, this was for a 5 ft 5 220lb size 18 customer and the fit was perfect. It held her in, but didn't make her gasp for air, haha. The fabric is baby soft and this is very high quality. I ordered this to help keep everything in place after pregnancy. I am 2 months postpartum and sometimes forget that I'm not quite back to my pre-pregnancy body. I ordered a small just like I would have before I was pregnant and it is somewhat to small. Currently I am 5'5" and 138lbs. I should have ordered the medium. Take note that this is "Light Control" so don't expect it to be like a corset. It doesn't necessarily suck everything in, it just smooths out the lumps and bumps, which is perfect for postpartum use! However, it does have a thick lining across the butt area which can easily be seen through clothes. And unfortunately, it still isn't what I'm looking for cause although it isn't difficult to pull it down when you need to use the washroom, it does take a good amount of effort to pull it back up. The product is great. It does exactly what it should. I wear a size 14 and I purchased the XL. It fits wonderfully and I am able to wear it for up to 4 hours without it becoming too much. The only downside is getting the back up without assistance! I have not been able to get the back up at all by myself. There is a helpful rubber/elastic ban at the top that helps keep it up. I've found the way to really get it to stay up is to put your bra on afterwards and have it hold it in place. It's fantastic material and very comfortable. There were 3 points to mention. 1, my underarm excess showed, 2, the straps near the top by the armpits dug into my skin and had mild bruising, but put on a band aid ,was very doable, and last but not least, the 3rd one....the crotch. Oh yes, be warned. It's gonna be a doozy trying to do #1, #2 IS A CHALLENGE! But fear not, if you have to go make sure that you have loose fitting underwear or a thong, gonna be alot of maneuvering down there. If you have several minutes to spare then just undo your hooks and peel it. Since I am an established seamstress i would recommend some kind of velcro or a protective zipper. Works great. Helps tuck everything in well and you can close it up in a way that doesn't make the velcro part touch your skin which I have had happen with several different similar products.
