I watched the wife as she tried to get into one of these. To say I was alarmed puts it mildly. So much squeezing and pulling and grunting. I'm thinking that at any moment something's gonna give, either the stretchy fabric or a pulled muscle. I tried to help. It didn't want to pull up over her backside, so I grabbed the fabric and had to pull out and up and I feared it was TOO BIG a job, but she wiggled and pulled and got it up to below her armpits. I was reminded of the Michelin Man. I didn't think so much fat could be relocated. Maybe an overfilled sausage casing. Surprisingly, she wore it around the bedroom for a while, but eventually took it off, saying she couldn't breathe. I followed the sizing guidelines and can't even get this thing over my hips. I was mostly just looking for something to wear under certain fabics to create a smooth line. I couldn't begin to tell you if this does that because again, despite following the guidelines I can't get it on. I even ordered a size bigger than I normally would due to other comments. I purchased the small in black. Although the actual quality of the shape wear is excellent, It is a well made garment. There was no indication that I was wearing any kind of shape wear in slacks. Sometimes they can make your butt look like a diaper butt, but this one was good I was truly disappointed though, that by halfway through my work day, it was extremely uncomfortable. I had to take them off!! Wish I had exchanged them, but missed the deadline, unfortunately had a family emergency. Update: so this company has been emailing me ever since I wrote my initial review above. I've copy/pasted the latest and third email I got from them below. They are highly unethical! They want me to remove my review or give higher grade in exchange for my money back or another girdle. I responded to the first two emails stating that if they gave me my money back that I would remove the review as one of my complaints was that I couldn't return it. They never got back to me on it instead I get another email with similar request and even sillier explanation. I doubt the genuinity of this company! I had to earn them to never contact me again!
