It was definitely too small around the elastic part on top. The fabric was nothing special, therefore it didn't really tighten anything up around the tummy. If you're wanting to use these as spandex types to pull you in, this is not a good purchase. The "spandex" was too flexible and didn't "hold" anything tight. Overall, it was a success. It helped me look great in my tight-fitting dress. I love that there's no boning to show through like with my waist trainer. The plastic/rubber material around the waist band held it up all night. Didn't experience any rolling there. However, the hems of the boy short are a different matter. They rolled up throughout the night. That's the main reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. I do love the concept of this recovery aspect. It is fantastically put together - strong and sturdy. I am not postpartum but have abdominal problems due to surgery issues and this 3 in 1 support system keeps me happy - I don't have a strong belly anymore. I have a bit more weight to lose thru my belly before it will fit as I need - the one I got is for 190pds over...but, I am 70pds more past that point. The lower one will go on but because of not being sorted yet it is terribly tight. I bought these after having a baby to suck in that extra tummy pouch so I could feel good in my clothes. This thing made me look pregnant again and made me feel worse about the way I looked. I refused to wear this in front of anyone because of how ridiculous it makes me look. For me it was a waste of money but may not be for others.
