I've got abdominal separation (diastasis recti) and it causes my belly to have the dreaded "mommy tummy" -a shaper is not a permanent solution, but it helps to camouflage it if you need to for some special occasion. I agree that the front closure is kind of visible underneath your clothes, depending on how thin the fabric is. as shown in my pics, it even looks good with your jeans. Does what its supposed to do! However, taking a star off due to all the hooks and eyes. Going to try to find one with INDUSTRIAL strength hidden zipper! Lol (not the way that sounds! But they used to make good "hidden" zippers that gave a really nice SMOOTH look ) Its fine unless you like tight clothing which I don't because clothing that is too tight makes a person appear larger ... not smaller. I am 5'3 and I weight 191. I am loosing weight weekly so I bought a Large and it's a little tight. Hard to get on over my hips but fits pretty well once on. The tightness is around my rib cage, but I don't like things touching my ribs so that's a personal annoyance. The top does roll down a little and the back is hard to pull up all the way so it rolls sometimes because of that. However it does give you a smooth look instead of a normal "muffin top" look. First ordered Small which would be my normal size. 5'4" tall 122 lbs. Only a child could fit into this size! Reordered Large and is very good fit. Definitely go two sizes up. Needed these for post surgery and am pleased with the fit and support. Ordered two more Large. Only 4 Stars because of the misconception in size to order. It was extremely hard for me to get on (in wheelchair and I can move my legs). It was so hard to pull up and when taking it off I fell out of my chair which is not acceptable. I felt as though I would have a horrible time going to the bathroom. |

It rolls down on the waist area. it doesnt stay in place. Bottom area stretches out too much and doesnt suck your tummy. Very light pressure. |

Don't try going pee in public like most other shapeware. (No, a crotch hook and eye contraption or hole cut in wouldn't help. )I wear cotton panties under the shapeware to keep the fabric from direct contact with sensitive skin. |

It's always tricky to order an item like this online without being able to try it on first, but I'm very pleased with my purchase. I love the length of the "shorts", because they are long enough (like boyshorts) that you can't see a pantyline under your clothes, but not so long that you can see them sticking out when sitting in a skirt or dress. These definitely do a great job of sucking things in, and are much more affordable than many of the competitive brands. |
