I am 5.5 & 135lbs, I bought a Medium in the color black and could not be any happier. It works well for what I needed. It does not roll down which is what I love the most about it & it goes all the way up under my bra. It does flatten my midsection a bit but I am a pretty slender girl anyway. I just had a bit of a belly from delivering my third child so it worked well for what I needed. Im an 8-10 so I bought the medium size. The midsection support is quite unbelievable!. It is high enough that I can tuck it under my brazier and that is awesome. The openings of the boy short legs do bunch up (they have no band like the top) and I could live without that, surprisingly though, it is not painful or uncomfortable in the groin. Held everything in after delivery. I probably should have worn it longer and more often than I did, but it still helps give me extra support when I need it. If you're expecting it to make your stomach flat again, it won't. It's bulky with all of its parts, but will definitely make your figure more sleek (I ended up with rolls and such after pregnancy, this smoothed them out). Edit to add to original review after used product: I've been using this postpartum belt for 3 weeks. I have used it daily starting 2 days post partum. You can tighten it as much as you like. Beware the Velcro loses its "stick" after a week. Abdominal binding has tremendously improved facilitating my muscles coming together and my uterus contract. Purchased this not knowing what to expect as I hadn't used or even seen a postpartum belt before. I ended up loving it! While the three pieces seem a little strange, it is nice to have it go all the way up the torso, as some belts only wrap the stomach area. At 180 pounds right before delivery, the belt only barely fit around me the next day after delivery (not sure what my weight was then). If you plan on using this for slimming purposes be aware the Velcro ends can be seen under clothing. |
